PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH

HOME MISSIONARY SCHOOL. A Home Missionary School will bi held by the Presbyterian Church in the Knox Buildings, Masterton, from Tuesday till Friday next week. Sixteen men from as far afield as New Plymouth and Gisborne, are expected to attend the classes, and will be billeted in the town. The school will be in the charge of the Rev. J. M. McKenzie, Missions director, Wellington, and the lectures will be by the Very Rev, G. H. McNeur, of Canton, China, and the Rev. Gladstone Hughes, of St. John’s, Wellington. Meetings open to the public will be held on Tuesday night when the Very Rev. G. H. McNeur will speak on the life of Liang A Fa, the first Protestant pastor in China. On Thursday evening the Rev. Gladstone Hughes will lecture on “Christianity and Democracy.”
