It is officially revealed in London that the total enemy tonnage lost (captured, sunk or scuttled) up to August 16 was 4.007,000 tons, comprising 2,321,000 tons German, 1,533,000 tons Italian, 34,000 tons Finnish and 119,000 tons useful ot the enemy. Of the total'enemy loss of just over four million tons, 796,000 tons have been sunk since June 10. These figures include 51 ships, of an estimated tonnage of 200,000, sunk by the Russians.
