FIXTURES FOR SATURDAY.

APPOINTMENT OF REFEREES

Owing to the fact that territorial parades are to be held on Saturday, the Wairarapa Men's Hockey Association has decided to close the senior and junior competitions. As there is only one game in each grade to play this decision will not have any effect on the championship results. Carterton winning the senior and Dalefield the junior. The position of teams is as follow: — Senior: Carterton, 22 points; Wesley, 11; Old Boys, 7; Grey town, 4. Junior: Dalcfield, 22 points; Carterton, 17; Wesley, 15; Wairarapa College. 10; Scouts. 8; Old Boys. 4; Carterton B. 0. As Scouts and Carterton B were the only third grade entries these teams were included in the junior competition, but will play off on Saturday at Carterton for the Worsfold third grade cup. Bannin Shield. The draw for the senior knock-out competition for Saturday, August 30, is as follows: —Carterton v. Old Boys, at Masterton; Greytown v. Wesley, at Grey town. The following are the fixtures and referees for next Saturday:— Junior Men (Cole-Burgess Cup). Carterton A v. Wesley, at Carterton No. 1. at 2.45 p.m.; referees. Messrs L. Gallon and Hodder. Dalefield v. Old Boys, at Masterton No. 3, at 1.30 p.m.; Messrs Moor and 1 Lewis. ) Wairarapa College a bye. Third Grade Men (Final). Scouts v.
