BOROUGH APPOINTMENT

MR H. A. TRUMAN GOING TO DANNEVIRKE.

Mr H. A. Truman. M.R. San. 1., A.M.I.S.E. (London) of the Department of Health, and at present Government health inspector for the Wairarapa, has been appointed borough engineer and health inspector at Dannevirke, in succession to Mr S. Annabel.

Mr Truman received training as a surveyor in Christchurch and later was assistant to the engineer of the Eyre County Council, assistant engineer to the Rangitikei County Council, borough engineer at Taihape and assistant to the chief sanitary inspector and sewerage engineer to the Suva Municipal Council at Fiji. On his return from Suva he joined the Department of Health and for the past 5| years has been stationed in Masterton as district health inspector. During his period of service in the Wairarapa, Mr Truman has specialised in water supply and drainage work.
