AIR RAID RELIEF
LORD MAYOR OF LONDON’S FUND. ■» FURTHER CONTRIBUTIONS NEEDED. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 10.10 a.m.) RUGBY, August 18. In a broadcast appeal tonight on behalf of the Lord Mayor’s National Air Raid Distress Fund, the Lord Mayor of London stated that since the fund was started last September well over 100,000 families had received help and more than £1,500,000 had been spent on grants of cash, in providing food, clothing and furniture.
