TRAIL OF RUIN

LEFT BY BRITISH BOMBERS

HEAVY ATTACKS ON BREMEN & DUISBURG.

DAYLIGHT RAID BY BLENHEIMS

LONDON. August 18. The weather was again bad last night when a force of British bombers numbering over a hundred went to Bremen and Duisburg, which suflered severely, the bombers leaving a blazing trail of ruin as proof of their visit. All but one of our machines returned. A large force of Blenheims, escorted by fighters, flew at a great height over the south-east coast today to attack an industrial target at Lille. One German bomber was shot down in last night’s attack on Hull. There were a few casualties.
