NOTES TO TURKEY
FROM BRITAIN & RUSSIA RECEIVED WITH SATISFACTION. LYING ENEMY RUMOURS DESTROYED. LONDON, August 15. The British and Russian Notes to Turkey, pledging aid to her in the event of that country being attacked, are welcomed in the Turkish Press. The Notes, it is stated, give Turkey great satisfaction because they destroy a rumour which has been spread lately that Britain and Russia >, had . designs against Turkey.
