RUGBY FOOTBALL
RED STAR CLUB. MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MEETING. At a meeting of the management committee of the Red Star Football Club held at the residence of Mr and Mrs N. Harding. Mr F. Henson was in the chair. Various club activities were discussed. Several officials of the club sent donations to the funds. Mr V. Pinkney wrote accepting the office of vice-pre-sident, and in forwarding a donation wished the club the best of success in the future. It was stated that Mr N. O'Kane, a member of the committee, would join the Air Force next month. Supper was provided by Mrs Harding, for which she was accorded a hearty vote of thanks. Mr and Mrs Harding were thanked for the use of their home for the meeting. The next meeting will' be the final one for the season and will be held on September 3 at the residence of Mr and Mrs S. Henson. Macara Street. TEAMS FOR SATURDAY. Cid Boys team to play Carterton,,at Carterton at 1.30 p.m.: Cardno, Hibbs. Martin, Cunningham, Stuart, Parsonson, Lambourn, Spring, Jones, Wilton, Buick, Shearer, Bellis, Childs, Falcon--er, Eton, Weir, Braggins. A bus will leave the Post Office at 12.30 p.m. Red Star thirds to play the College at the College ground at 2.30 p.m.:— Mayes, Golder (2), B. Rutherford, Scandrett, Price, Corlett (3), Whyborn, Meddings, Reid, Roys (2), Blatchford McArley, Carruthers, Heaven. Players are requested to be on the ground at 2.15 p.m.
