HEAVY FORCE RAIDS BOULOGNE. THIRTEEN ENEMY FIGHTERS SHOT DOWN. LONDON. August 14. British planes have been busy over the Channel today. Early this afternoon a heavy force of Blenheims, escorted by fighters, made a successful raid on the docks at Boulogne. One Messerschmitt was destroyed. We lost two fighters. Another sweep was also carried out over Northern France, during which Thirteen enemy fighters were shot down. We lost three lighters. STRONG FORCES AT LEAST SCO PLANES USED. IN 24-HOUR ONSLAUGHT ON GERMANY. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) LONDON. August 13. The “Daily Express" estimates that the Royal Air Force used at least 800 planes in a 24-hour attack on Germany and the occupied territories on Tuesday. , A German military spokesman declared that the Royal Air Force's lively activity is attributable to strong pressure from the Russians.
