BLACK & WHITE

WORN BY BARBARA STANWYCK

For the Spring Bride. —To accent her formalised afternoon dress of white crepe, Barbara Stanwyck wears a tremendous saucer-brimmed cartwheel of black felt. At the surplice neckline of her dress is a band of black crepe, and the black is echoed again in her bag and gloves. Barbara Stanwyck wears what Hollywood believes is the longest modern bobbed-hair coiffure any star has ever used on the screen. It is said to be the result of five years of constant effort to achieve a perfect long-bob for the beautiful star. In any event, it certainly is unusual. The bob is sixteen inches in length, and falls, not to her shoulders, as in the case of other glamour girls, but nearly six inches below her shoulders. This sets some sort of new' Hollywood record.
