SHEEP IN KEEN DEMAND.

ADVANCE IN PIG PRICES.

The Associated Auctioneers report on their Pahiatua sale as follows: —A medium yarding of sheep was offered to a Targe attendance of the public. All classes of sheep were in keen demand, and were sold at auction at late rates. A large entry came forward in the dairy section, but with the exception of one well known line, sales in this section were hard to make. A medium yarding of pigs sold at prices 3s to 4s in advance of last week's realisations.

Pigs: Porkers, £2; stores, 32s 6d; weaners, 23s 6d. 22s 6d. 225, 20s, 18s. MASTERTON SALE IMPROVEMENT IN PRICES. The Associated Auctioneers report having held their weekly sale at Masterton yesterday. A moderate yarding of fat sheep and a good entry of ewe and wether hoggets came forward before a good attendance of buyers, which included intending buyers from the West Coast and Pahiatua districts. A good sale resulted, and a considerable improvement in prices was evident in all sections. The following list of prices will indicate values: — Fat sheep: Fat wethers, prime heavy, 29s 9d; fat wethers, medium, 28s Id; fat b.f. wethers, medium, 245; fat b.f. hoggets, 21s to 235; fat ewes, heavy, 16s lOd to 17s; fat ewes, medium, 15s 6d, 15s 7d, 16s sd; fat ewes,'light, 14s; fat Southdown ewes, medium, 16s 6d; fat Southdown ewes, light, 12s 3d. Store sheep: Store wethers, 20s 6d; woolly ewe hoggets, good, 28s, 28s 9d, 28s lOd, 30s 7d, 31s sd; woolly ewe hoggets, medium, 255, 26s 9d, 27s 8d; shorn ewe hoggets, 245; shorn ewe hoggets, small, 16s 3d; woolly wether hoggets, 19s 3d; b.f. wether hoggets, 14s 4d; forward ewes, 9s.
