SINGH DEFEATS CORBETT. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, August 13. Jaget Singh beat Joe Corbett by a penalty fall in a professional wrestling bout tonight. The penalty fall was in the seventh round, when Corbett broke out of an Indian deathlock by punching Singh with his clenched fist. Before that they were equal with an Indian deathlock fall for Singh, and a body press fall after flying tackles for Corbett. Corbett hotly disputed the decision to give Singh the penalty fall.
