Prices of fruit and vegetables in the Wellington markets are quoted as follows: — Passion fruit, 16s to 30s a half case; grapefruit, N.Z., 5s to 12s a bushel case; lemons, Meyer, 7s 6d to 17s 6d a half case; Chinese gooseberries, 12s to 20s a half case; tree tomatoes, 6s to 12s a half case; mandarins, Ils to 21s a half case. Tomatoes, Is 6d to 2s a lb.; green peas, Is Id to Is 6d a lb.; pumpkins, 5s to 17s 6d a sack; potatoes, Ils 6d to 15s a cwt.; potatoes, Nelson, 3d to 3Jd a lb.; onions, 10s to 14s a cental bag; kumeras, 5s to 8s a sugar bag. Sprouts, 12s to 30s a banana case; cabbage, 3s to Ils 6d a sack; cauliflowers, 7s to 18s a sack; lettuce. 5s to 17s a case; cabbage, spring. 2s 6d to 6s 6d a case; spinach, 12s to 26s 6d a case; silver beet. Is 6d to 5s a case. Marrows, 5s 6d to 8s 6d a case; leeks, 9s to 14s 6d a case; parsnips, 8s to 16s 6cl a case; swedes, 2s to 4s 6d a case; beetroot, 4s to 9s a case; celery, Auckland, 13s 6d to 22s 6d a case; carrots, 4s to 13s 6d a case; rhubarb, 8s to 23s a dozen bunches.
