LIQUID GIVING IMMUNITY FROM PETROL BURNS REMARKABLE RESULTS DEMONSTRATED. INVESTIGATION BY ROYAL AIR FORCE. (By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright) (Received This Day, 12.30 p.m.) LONDON, August 11. The R.A.F. is investigating a liquid which, it is claimed, would render airmen immune from petrol burns. A demonstrator applied the liquid to his hands, face and clothing, after which petrol was thrown over him and set alight, but he merely brushed the flames away. Then a suit soaked with petrol was set alight and the flames put out mergly by shaking the suit.
