SALVATION ARMY
HOME LEAGUE ANNIVERSARY. Two very enjoyable programmes have recently been presented at the Salvation Army Citadel, the first of which was under the direction, of Mrs Major Dick, the secretary of the Home League. The members of the League and their friends spent a happy, evening celebrating the anniversary of the (League in Masterton. Mrs Wiley, with whom was associated Mrs Hoare and Lieutenant Milne,of the Whatman Home, assisted by the members of the Girls’ Club, presented a splendid evening's programme to an •appreciative audience. Features of the t programme were company songs, solos, [duets, dialogues and tableaux. A group of girls and boys from the (Whatman Home, trained by Mrs Major j Dick and Lieutenant Scott, also assisted. On Sunday evening the service at the Citadel was conducted by Cadet Bernice Fairbrother. Cadet Fairbrother, who has been on leave from the Salvation Army Training College in ’ Wellington, has been staying with her parents in Opaki Road.
