FOOD SUPPLIES
NO SIGN OF SHORTAGE IN BRITAIN. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, August 10. There is no shortage of food in Britain, there arc no signs of malnutrition, and there is every hope of increased supplies of certain foodstuffs, specially for children, said the Minister of Food, Lord Woolton, yesterday. He declared that it is unlikely that the meat- ration for the general public would be increased during the war. He said he had been concerned about the position as regards fats, but help from America had made that position sure.
