P. G. WODEHOUSE

DEFENCE OF BROADCASTS. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 12.30 p.m.) LONDON, August 10. Mr P. G. Wodehouse, broadcasting on the German radio, answered attacks: “My talks,” he said, “were designed simply as a way of acknowledging hundreds of sympathetic letters from Americans. The broadcasts have caused violent attacks against me in England, but I am still unable to see anything in the broadcasts which would not be printed in any English newspaper.”
