BRITISH PRISONERS
TRANSFERRED FROM GREECE TO GERMANY. ALL UNWOUNDED MEN. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, August 9. All unwounded British prisoners of war captured in Greece are now in camps in Germany, according to present War Office information. The United States Embassy in Berlin has arranged for these camps to be visited. Unwounded war prisoners captured in Crete are known to have been en route to Germany, and inquiries into whether they have yet arrived are being made. Precise information has also been requested on the number and location of wounded and sick prisoners in Greece and Crete. A representative of the International Red Cross Committee has arrived at Ankara, and means of transporting food parcels to British and Imperial wounded prisoners in Greece are under active discussion with the German and Italian authorities.
