COSY THEATRE
“THE DEVIL’S PIPELINE,” Maintaining the high standard of their popular film series, Richard Arlen and Andy Devine's newest costarring picture, Universal’s “The Devil’s Pipeline,” which will be shown tonight at the Cosy Theatre should prove exciting screen fare. Abounding in thrills, action and suspense, lightened by comic and romantic interludes, the production contains top-flight entertainment. Arlen gives his customary expert performance and.Devine is especially effective with his comedy. An interesting newcomer, Jeanne Kelly, shares romantic honours with Arlen and her performance stamps her as a highly promising film prospect. Other supporting roles are capably done by John Eldredge, James Flavin, Francis McDonald and Mala. The associate picture is “Room For Two,” with Francis Day and Vic Oliver in the leading roles. Man-about-town Michael Brent is so smitten by married blonde Claire Spencer, that he even becomes a maid-servant just to be near her and serve her. Such is the material theme round which is built a recital of marital escapades in Venice.
