SOVIET TO EIRE DETENTION OF BALTIC SHIPS. ______ ' RIGHT RESERVED TO TAKE ACTION. (By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright) (Received This Day, 10.40 a.m.) LONDON, August 8. M. Maisky, Soviet Ambassador to Britain, has emphatically protested to Eire against the decision of the Eire Supreme Court dismissing Russia’s claim to the ownership of two Latvian and three Estonian ships at present in Irish ports. M. Maisky informed M. Dulanty (Eire Minister) that the decision was illegal and detrimental to Russia’s interests. The Soviet Government places full responsibility for the decision and its consequences upon the Eirean Government and reserves the right to take whatever measures it may deem necessary.
