RUSSIAN REPORT
AIR AND LAND FIGHTING. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 10.27 a.m.) RUGBY, August 8. A Russian communique states: “The Soviet Air Force, co-operating with land forces, dealt heavy blows in various zones of battle and in the rear against enemy infantry and the enemy Air Force on their aerodromes.” A Moscow communique states: “Our troops last night continued to fight on the Estonian front and in the regions of Kakisalmi, Smolensk, Byelaya-Tser-kov. There were no major operations elsewhere.
