TANK DIVISION
DESTRUCTION REPORTED BY RUSSIANS. ONLY FORTY TANKS ESCAPE. (Received This Day, 10.30 a.m.) LONDON, August 8. Russian despatches from the front claim that the 20th German Tank Division has been destroyed in an unnamed sector. Only forty tanks escaped from a battle which lasted several days and resulted from a Russian counter-attack.
