MENACING CONCENTRATIONS ON INDO-CHINA BORDER
LONDON, August 6. Dealing at length with the situation in the Far East, Mr Anthony Eden, Foreign Secretary, speaking m the Hoiise o Commons, said that any Japanese action threatening -hailand would be of immediate concern to Britain, as it wouldL bei a threat to Snmarore He hoped our words would yet be heeded. In Washington, Mr Cordell Hull, United States Secretary , of State, said his Government had made clear its vital interest ! and opposition to any move of conquest m the Pacific. A y move into Thailand would be a step menacing Amei < interests in the Pacific. , Ten thousand Japanese troops are now reported to b. stationed along' the Thailand border, where t ley - ave to build aerodromes. Thailand, in reply, is sending mechanised forces to the frontier.
