INDOOR BASKETBALL
LOCAL COMPETITIONS LAST NIGHT’S RESULTS. W.F.C.A. DEFEAT WOOLWORTHS. The indoor basketball championship games played in the Y.M.C.A. last evening before a packed house proved, for the most part, exciting. The major surprise was the defeat of McKenzies by McDuffs in the ladies' E grade. In the ladies’ A grade, W.F.C.A., by defeating Woolworths, increased their lead in the championship to three points. In the junior section State Kitchenette B seccured a win over Tattons. The most interesting men’s game was between W.F.C.A. and State Kitchenette, the former team winning by 11 goals to 7. The following arc the results: — / Ladies’ A Grade. Lancers 28 ("J. Gemmell 14, B. Linton 6, P. Hanley 8) defeated Banks 6 (P. Pratt 4, M. Baskiville 2). W.F.C.A. 10 (A. Keisenberg 4. J. Palmer 4, M. Truscott 2) defeated Woolworths 4. (A. Burgess 4). Ladies B Grade. McDuffs 9 (J. Bannister 6, J. Fitzwater 2, J. Cross 1) defeated McKenzies 8 (T. Jones 6, J. Johnson 2). Codys 5 (A. Brown 5) defeated Cathies 3 (M. McCormack 3). State Kitchenette 7 (J. Jones 3, A. Stains 2, B. Prout 2) defeated Rovers 5 (N. Needham 3, G. Hoar 2). Ladies’ Junior Grade. State Kitchenette 6 (J. Stains G) defeated Tattons 4 (I. Dickason 4). Rangers A 13 (T. Haeata 6. R. Ghorley 4, M. Proctor 2. E. Pura 1) defeated Rangers B 2 (C. Walker 2). Men’s A Grpde. Bouzaids .14 (Hayes 6, Faulkner 4, R. Harrington 2, A. Harrington 1, Read 1) defeated Vesta Batteries 2 (Yee Jing 2). W.F.C.A. 11 (McCormack 6. Wilson 4, Cretney 1) defeated State Kitchenette 7 (T.
