POSTPONEMENT OF ELECTIONS. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 9.55 a.m.) RUGBY. August 5. The India and Burma Postponement of Elections Bill passed its second reading in the House of Lords today, without a division. The Duke of Devonshire, replying in the debate said an overwhelming majority of the people of India were wholeheartedly with Britain in the war effort.
