COSY THEATRE
“REMEMBER.” At a time when the world needs so desperately to laugh, one of the most completely satisfying entertainments will be shown tonight at the Cosy Theatre. It is “Remember,” a picture starring Robert Taylor and Greer Garson, with Lew Ayres. Flawlessly cast, the picture deals with the trials and tribulations 'of modern married life and tells of two young people who rush into marriage because they can’t help themselves, are separated by misunderstandings, and then get a miraculous second chance of which they take full advantage. New York is the fast-moving background, with the World’s Fair as one of its varied settings and a fox hunt with a love scene played in a mud puddle that is the funniest seen in many months. “Remember” boasts a supporting cast of film favourites who can always be depended upon for top performances, including Billie Burke, Reginald Owen, George Barbier, Henry Travers, Laura Hope Crews, Sara Haden, Sig Rumann and Paul Hurst.
Judging from his work in the hilariously entertaining “Blonde Inspiration,” which will open tonight at the Cosy Theatre, John Shelton will be the next star in Hollywood. Cast as a youthful writer who is anxious to establish his name so that he can sell a Western novel he has written, Shelton gives as fine a portrayal as has been seen in many a picture. In romance, with Virginia Grey, and in comedy, the keynote of “Blonde Inspiration,” he proves that he is v.ery close to be'mg ready for stellar rating. The story deals with the troubles experienced by the young author when he takes a job writing Western stories for a pulp magazine and finds that he must cio three stories, a novel, and two columns weekly. He fulfils his assignment, however, until his predecessor destroys his copy. A. strong supporting cast, including Albert Dekker, Charles .Butterworth, Donald Meek and Reginald Owen keeps the hilarity at a record high. Marion Martin, blonde and .glamorous, adds to the laughs in a unique pantomime role.
