(By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) Received This Day, 12.30 p.m.) MELBOURNE, This Day. “The Russian resistance has upset the German timetable and the damage done to the panzer divisions and aircraft means that the prospect of a major attack on England this year is probably gone,” said the Federal Premier, Mr R. G. Menzies, in a speech. “This,” he added, “is a major result, which has not ended the war. but is the beginning of that phase in whicn we will begin to win. Those people looking for peace by Christmas are hugging a delusion. The year 1941 will determine whether we win or lose in 1942.”
