ALL VOLUNTEERS
THIRD CANADIAN DIVISION
WELCOMED IN BRITAIN. WITH HUNDREDS OF AIRMEN & TECHNICIANS. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 11.40 a.m.) RUGBY, August 1. The Third Canadian Division, under the command of Major-General C. B. Price, has just arrived in Britain. In addition to thousands of soldiers a large convoy also brought hundreds of United States technicians and several hundred airmen trained in Canada. Welcoming them on arrival, the War Secretary, Captain Margesson, paid tribute to the fact that every man was a volunteer who had come to fight because he believed in the principle of freedom and not because of any Gestapo at his back.
