ITALIAN BATTLESHIPS

THREE CAPABLE OF PUTTING TO SEA. VITTORIO VENETO UNDER REPAIR. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, July 30. The Alexandria correspondent of the Associated Press of Great Britain says that the Italian battleship Vittorio Veneto reached port, and is believed to be undergoing repairs at an Italian naval base. Many naval officers regarded the battleship as lost when initial reconnaissances after the Battle of Matapan failed to disclose any trace of her. Italy is now thought to have three battleships capable of putting to sea.
