Bright story told by Mr Lloyd George against himself. A man who had saved someone from drowning was being presented with a public testimonial. When called up to reply, he said: “I saw the man in the water, and I knew he would be drowned if I didn’t save him. So I swam out to him, made sure he wasn’t Lloyd George, and pulled him out.” .
