STATE THEATRE

“THE SAINT IN PALM SPRINGS.”

The current programme at the State Theatre, headed by the thrilling drama "The Saint in Palm Springs,” will be finally shown tonight.

“TOO MANY GIRLS.' 1

The plot of "Too Many Girls,” which will be the main feature at the State Theatre tomorrow night, deals with the sprightly troubles that arise when a millionaire’s daughter matriculates at Pottawatomie College, a quiet, mythical but highly picturesque institution in the middle of a New Mexican desert, where the co-eds vastly outnumber the men. Four football stars incognito are employed by the millionaire to act as bodyguards for his girl and to keep her out of mischief. The boys are supposed to have given up their football careers, and now to spend their time in active bodyguarding, with the proviso that they are not to engage in romantic interludes with their lovely charge. Both rules prove irksome, and the breaking of them leads to the riotous complications of the story and its exciting finish. The problem of a Hollywood marriage and what happened to it forms the basis of “I’m Still Alive,” the associate feature to be. Kent Taylor and Linda Hayes are featured in this stirring and dramatic romance of the screen capital, Taylor playing the role of a daring film flyer and Miss Hayes that of an imperious ,picture celebrity.
