FEATHERSTON
FOOTBALL CLUB SUCCESSFUL DANCE. ("Times-Age” Special.) The dance held by the Featherston Football Club in the Anzac Hall on Saturday night was a most successful affair, there being a large attendance. The duties of M.C. were carried out by Mr Chas. Buck, and the music was supplied by Udy’s orchestra. The Monte Carlo dance was won by Mr Lloyd and Miss Thompson, and the Luck Spot dance by Mr J. Fraser and Miss Harvey. A capable ladies’ committee had charge of the supper arrangements. Church Services. The Rev. H. J. Odell, assistant supervisor of Home Missions, was the preacher at the Methodist Church last evening. The preacher at the Presbyterian Church last evening was the Rev. J. L. Gray. After the service Mr Gray gave a very interesting lantern lecture on India in the church hall. Mr Gray was the guest of Mr and Mrs Arch. Clark over the weekend. Golf Club Competition. The following were the best cards handed in for the third round in the eclectic competition played on the Gum Grove links on Saturday:—H. Neilson 38, 8, 30; W. Rowles, 34, I|, 321; J. H. McCallum 38, 5, 33; H. McCarthy 41, 7|, 32i; H.- Bloxam 41, 51, 344; L. Benton 43, 8, 35. Miniature Rifle Club. The following scores were recorded in the Featherston Miniature Rifle Club’s weekly competition: L. Rasmussen 96, N. Castle 94, E. O'Neale 95, B. Williams 97, Mrs Wilson 93, M. Hodder 96, R. Rasmussen 92, A. Crook 98, A. Hodder 96.
