READING OF THREE-ACT PLAY. MASTERTON LITTLE THEATRE SOCIETY. “Sheppey,” a three-act play by W. Somerset Maugham, was read last evening by members of the Masterton Little Theatre Society, at the Country Women’s Club rooms. There was a large attendance of members. Daniell; Miss James, Miss Reed; Bessie Legros, Mrs Kennedy; stage directions, Mr E. K. Eastwood. ACTS 11. & III.: Sheppey, Mr Kent Johnston; Mrs Miller, Mrs Price; Florrie, Miss Reed; Bradlej 7 , Mr Cross; Ernest Turner, Mr J. Lawson; Bessie Legros (subsequently Death), Mrs Kennedy; . Dr. Jervis. Mr M. M. Simpson; Cooper, Mr J. A. Kennedy; stage directions. Mr ■ E. K. Eastwood. The next reading will be on August 6, when a three-act play by Walter ; Hackett, entitled “Road House,” will be j read.
