WOMEN’S DIVISION MONTHLY MEETING OF MEMBERS. (“Times-Age” Special.) The monthly meeting of the Women’s Division of the Farmers Union was held in the Parish Hall yesterday afternoon. Members stood in silence as a mark of sympathy with Mrs E. Raison, who had suffered a bereavement. The question of holding an electrical cooking demonstration was held over until early in September. Mrs Beu, president, who recently attended the Division’s annual conference, presented an interesting report. The membership of the Division now stood at 19,147. Lord Bledisloe’s request for woollen goods for the merchant navy is to be met with immediately by the Division members. The hostesses were Mesdames Hutchings, Dyson, S. Skeet and Dickens. Mrs J. B. Eaton, a former member of the Greytown branch, was present. RED CROSS SOCIETY HOME NURSING CLASS. The Greytown Red Cross Society’s Home Nursing Class was held in the Red Cross Society’s rooms last evening and was conducted by the senior members, Mesdames G. R. Jury, W. Everett, J. F. Thompson, E. Maddison and Misses E. Gregor and B. Shedden. Personal Items. Miss Eager has returned from Wellington, where she attended the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union Conference. Verdict at Inquest. At the inquest touching the death of Mr J. E. Raison, the Coroner, Mr T. E. Laing, brought in a verdict of death by drowning whilst temporarily insane. Ladies’ Golf Club. A competition of nine hidden holes will be played for Miss Nix’s trophy in conjunction with the third round of the Keltie Buttons, the draw being as follows: —Mrs L. Mead v. Mrs R. Ingley; Mrs McPhee v. Mrs Gold; Mrs Thompson v. Mrs Jury; Miss Nix v. Mrs C. Ingley; Mrs Maddison v. Miss E. Gregor; Miss R. Collier v. Miss B. Gregor: Miss P. Tully v. Miss M. Collier; Mrs G.
