OBITUARY

MR C. R. D. KEMP. The death occurred at Gate Pa, Tauranga, yesterday, of Mr Cecil R. D. Kemp, in his 83rd year. The late Mr Kemp was formerly well known in the Masterton district where some years ago he managed the Kourarau property of Messrs Beetham Bros, at Gladstone. Deceased possesed a jovial nature, and was held in high esteem by a wide circle of friends, who will learn with feelings of deep regret of his death. He took a keen interest in sheep and cattle breeding and was an authority in this connection. Mrs Kemp died a few months ago, and he leaves a family of grown up daughters, one of whom is married.
