ATOTICE is hereby given, pursuant to and in exercise of the powers conferred on it by the Counties Act, 1920, and the Rating Act, 1925, and all other powers it enabling, that the Castlepoint County Council intends, at an ordinary meeting of the said Council, to be held at the County Office, Tinui, on MONDAY, August 11, 1941, to make and levy for the year commencing April 1, 1941, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1942: — GENERAL RATES. A General Rate on the-Capital rateable value of all rateable property as appearing on the valuation rolls, reduced under Section 5 of the Valuation of Land Amendment Act, 1933, by twentyfive per centum thereof, as follows: — In the North Riding, a general rate of two pence in the Pound. In the South Riding, a General Rate of one and seven-sixteenths of a penny in the Pound. In the East Riding, a General Rate of one and nine-sixteenths of a penny in the Pound. In the West Riding, a General Rate of one and seven-eighths of a penny in the Pound. AND NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that such rates shall become payable in one sum at the County Office, Tinui, on the 16th day of August, 1941, and that a /rebate of 33 per cent of the general rate will be allowed if the demand is paid in full within 30 days of the date of demand.
