PAHIATUA SALE GOOD DEMAND FOR SHEEP. DAIRY STOCK NEGLECTED. The Associated Auctioneers report on the Pahiatua sale when a moderate offering of sheep and a large yarding of dairy stock were submitted to a fair attendance of buyers. Sheep in all classes sold well up to late market rates, while dairy stock was much neglected and appeared excellent buying on the day. Quotations: Ewe hoggets (small), 19s 4d, 15s 9d; wether hoggets (good), 19s 4d, 17s to 16s 8d; b.f. hoggets, 19s 4d, 17s to 15s 6d; aged ewes, 10s. Dairy stock: Heifers spg. (extra choice), £l2 5s to £lO 10s; others, £8 ss, £7 10s to £7; late calvers, £6 to £5; dairy cows (gtd), £8 ss, £7 10s, £7 to £6 ss. Pigs: Stores. 19s, 18s 6d, to 16s.
