EKETAHUNA
THE DAIRY SEASON GOOD PROSPECTS AHEAD. (“Times-Age” Special.) Preparations are under way for the opening of the new dairy ' season. Cows, generally, have come through the winter well, and it is anticipated that the milk supply will be well up to the quantity received at the beginning of last season. It is stated that in several herds the number of cows has been increased as farmers are anxious to do all possible to increase the war effort as far as foodstuffs are concerned. Farmers who have had their cows tested are reaping the reward for their enterprise and the wise policy they have adopted. Their returns per cow are more than those received from non-tested cows and the profit is, of course, greater in proportion to the testing undertaken. 'it is anticipated that the prospects for the new season will be good. Painting of School. Tenders are elsewhere invited by the Wellington Education Board for interior painting at the Eketahuna District High School.
