WEDDING

j CAMPBELL—HOOK. ; The wedding took place recently at Knox Presbyterian Church, Masterton, of Aileen Joyce Hook, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs A. E. Hook, of Masterton, formerly of Wellington, to Hugh . Campbell, elder son of Mr and Mrs J. | M. Campbell, of Masterton. The ceremony was performed by the ■ Rev. John Davie, with Mr C. W. Kerry presiding at the organ. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a charming gown of magnolia satin. The bodice had a full effect at the front, the sleeves being full to the elbow, fitting tightly at the wrist and falling in a point over the hand. The fitting skirt fell into a long train. The bridal veil, surmounted with the customary coronet of orange blossom, was lent by Mrs E. Edwards, a friend of the bride. The bride's bouquet was a tastefully conceived shower of cyclamen, freesias, roses, gypsophila and maidenhair fern. The bride was attended by Miss Nellie Deane, who wore a frock of crink-1 led green georgette, with a square neckline edged with pleating and pink trimmings. The full flaired skirt was' trimmed with green rosettes having pink centres. She carried a lovely pink bouquet of cyclamen, camelia, roses, gypsophila and maidenhair fern. Little Ngaire Foster, of Masterton, presented the bride, as she was leaving the church, with a silver horseshoe for good luck. The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Ordinary Seaman A. C. Campbell, who came specially from Auckland for the occasion. A reception was held at the Cosy Tearooms, where the guests were received by Mrs A. E. Hook, assisted by Mrs J. M. Campbell. Mrs Hook wore a navy coat trimmed with grey skunk fur, navy peachbloom hat and accessories to match, and Mrs Campbell a navy ensemble with accessories to match. The bride and bridegroom left later by car on their honeymoon.
