MASTERTON RACING CLUB
NOMINATION OF OFFICERS. NO ELECTION NECESSARY. No election will be necessary for the appointment of officers of the Masterton Racing- Club this year. Nominations closed at noon today, the names of the officers nominated being as follow:— President, Mr J. M. James; vice-pre-sidents, Messrs C. J. Bennett and S. J. W. Gill; stewards (seven only of the fourteen stewards retire each year), Messrs J. A. Betts, H. L. Esau, J. Jameson. J. Mulvaney, W. R. P. Cooper, N. G. F. Whiteman and J. C. D. Mackley. The only new member is Mr Mackley, who replaces Mr F. B. Vallance, who did not seek re-election. The other stewards whose term of office does not expire until next year are:—Messrs R. Buick, Walter Cameron. A. Corskie, J. B. Moodie, lan Macßae, J. H. Payton and C. J. Toxward.
