NEW ZEALANDERS OVERSEAS SERGEANT REPORTED KILLED. THREE OTHERS MISSING. The following air casualties were reported yesterday: — McMURTRIE. Alexander D„ Pilot Officer. Grace, 11 Mount St., Auckland (m). TOPP, Edward 8., Pilot Officer, R.A.F.. reported missing on operations. Mr E. B. Topp. 10 Buckingham St.. Lyall Bay, Wellington (f). ASKIN, Ralph W„ Sergeant, R.N.Z.A.F., reported killed on operations. Mr 11. W. Askin, Aorangi Downs, Albury, Canterbury (f). Death Officially Presumed. Advice has been received by Nurse Higginson, of the Papakura Mobilisation Camp, that her only- son, Sergeant Pilot Alfred James Higginson, aged 24, failed to return from an operational flight with the N.Z. Bomber Squadron on July 18 and has been posted as missing.
