COSY THEATRE

■ ■■—■'■4“HIDDEN GOLD.” “Hidden Gold” and “Small Town Boy,” will be finally shown tonight. A sparkling potpourri of popular new melodies will be sung by Bing Crosby, Dorothy Lamour and Bob Hope in Paramount’s fun-filled safari into the South Seas, “Road to Singapore,”- which will be shown tomorrow night at the Cosy Theatre. Once again Paramount has called upon Johnny Burke and James V. Monaco, to write a goodly portion of the tunes. Their work for this picture includes “Too Romantic,” a number which has already been sung over the air many times, “Sweet Potato Piper,” a swingy novelty tune and “Kaigoon,” the number to which Leßoy Prinz’s dancing girls perform. The other two numbers heard in the picture are “Captain Custard,” and “The Moon and the Willow Tree.”

Lloyd Nolan could make people believe he was bad, but he just couldn’t make them hate him. That is why the stalwart menace of “The Texas Rangers,” “Hunted Men” and “Prison Farm,” appears in the romantic role of Paramount’s “Ambush,” which is the associate feature. Despite the fact that Nolan was consistently assigned to menace roles in a series of pictures, his fan mail continued to grow. Now, his studio taking advantage of his growing popularity, has cast him opposite Gladys Swarthout in a rapid-fire action drama.
