ALFREDTON

HOME GUARD PARADE AT DOMAIN. (“Times-Age” Special.) The Home Guard parade was held at the Domain on Saturday. Signalling and bayonet practices as well as rifle exercises, judging distances and platoon drill, were held. Instructions were given for the cleaning and care of arms. Personal Items. Mrs Alex Lessels, of Nelson, is spending a holiday with her father, Mr H. Rolls. Mrs J. Taylor has returned to Marton, after having visited relatives in this district. Mrs W. Edmonds was a visitor to Wellington for the Women’s Division conference. Mrs S. Edmonds is visiting friends in Waipukurau.
