INDOOR BOWLS
MASTERTON CLUB PAIRS CHAMPIONSHIP. FIXTURES FOR THIS WEEK. The Masterton Indoor Bowling Club entertained members of the Masterton Bowling Club, who, not accustomed to the indoor game, soon settled down to it and gave a very good account of themselves. Of the four games played, the home club won two games, halved, one, and lost one. The pairs championship was also carried a further stage, leaving A. Gray and Roff (s) leading in the A section, and F. Mooney and Dixon (s) in the B section. The fixtures for the week are as follow: —Pairs: Tuesday.—7 p.m.: No. 1, Edwards v. Henson; No. 2, Dewar v. Mayes; 8 p.m.: No. 1, Dixon v. Watson; No. 2, Pickering v. Hearps. 9 p.m.—No. 1: Ihaka v. McFarlane; No. 2, Roff v. Finlayson. Wednesday, Trade Teams’ Contest. —7 p.m.: No. 1, Borthwick’s No. 1 v. Civil Servants No. 2; Borthwick’s No. 2 v. O. and E ! s. 8.30 p.m.: No. 1, Builders v. Plumbers; No. 2, Borthwick’s No. 3 v. Drivers.
