ST. JOHN BRIGADE

WELL-ATTENDED DANCE. There was an excellent attendance at a dance held by the St. John Ambulance Brigade in the Masonic Hall, Masterton, on Saturday night. The gathering proved most successful. The music was supplied by Jack Barnes’s orchestra and extras were played by Messrs C. Jackson and C. Minifie. The duties of M.C. were carried out capably by the Cadet Superintendent, Mr C. S. McQuade. Novelty dances were given. A Monte Carlo waltz was won by Miss A. Barton and Mr D. Jackson and a lucky spot onestep was won by Miss J. Gray and Mr K. Dean. Supper was served by the committee. The proceeds will be used towards purchasing emergency medical supplies.
