SAVAGE CLUB

RAIDED BV WANGANUI BRAVES GATHERING IN MASTERTON ON SATURDAY. ENJOYABLE MUSICAL PROGRAMME. Members of the Wanganui Savage Club “raided” the Masterton club on Saturday night. There was a large gathering of Savages and the function proved most enjoyable. The visiting Chief, Rangitira Savage E. Lind, was installed by Chief F. L. Price, of the Masterton Club, and a welcome was extended to the visiting Savages. The following was the programme:— Overture, Combined Orchestra; song with orchestral accompaniment, Savage Bert Sanders; . humour, Savage Harold Hean; recitation, Savage Bert Sutcliffe: sketch, Savages; duo, Savages Killeen and Kidd; humorous stories, Ariki Dr. G. J. Adajns; specialty number, "In a Monastry Garden,” Combined Orchestra; sketch. Savages: duo Savages Hean and Kidd; song. Past Chief Savage W. Iggulden; march, Combined'Orchestra; recitation, Savage E. Lind; sketch, Savages; community sing, Orchestra, led by Savage Saunders. A brief silence was observed at 9 o'clock. A toast to the members of both clubs serving overseas was proposed by Past Chief Dobbs (Wanganui) and Savage J. A. Kennedy (Masterton).
