On Wednesday afternoon, basketball and football matches were played at Eketahuna between the secondary teams of the Pahiatua and Eketahuna District High schools. Play was confined to the Pahiatua half of the field, and from a line-out on the Pahiatua 25, Ryan kicked up and ’ crossed the line. Bartosh failed to convert.
