She was a very trying shopper and had tried on nearly every gown in the shop. At last she looked round the place and said: “As all your dresses are so skimpy and short, I think I’d look better in something flowing.” The exhausted saleswoman had been very pat'ient up to now, but she could stand it no longer. “Modem might try the river,” she said coldly.
