ATTACK ON GONDAR
IMPERIAL FORCES CLOSING IN. ON LAST ENEMY STRONGHOLD IN EAST AFRICA. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, July 17. A Cairo communique states: — “Our pressure is increasing upon enemy forces which ire holding a pass north of Gondar. During a local advance on July 15 our troops gained an important position and dispersed a counter-attack, with loss to the enemy.’’ •
