TRAINING OF GROUND ' PERSONNEL. USE OF COLLEGE FACILITIES. The technical training of ground staff for the Royal New Zealand Air Force is likely to be put in hand at Wairarapa College. As a result of representations m’ade by Mr J. Robertson, member for Masterton, the Minister of Defence, Mr Jones, has advised Mr Robertson that the authorities have under consideration a proposal to use the technical equipment of Wairarapa College for the training of ground staff for the air force. The matter will be given further consideration in the next week or two, when the requirements of the department will be made known to the college authorities. Mr Robertson points out that the college has splendid facilities for the training courses in view.
